Aspirators

All aspirators have the following features:

  • Volume: 60 mL
  • Vacuum: 24-26 in or 609.6-660.4 mm Hg
  • Made of latex free plastic
  • Combine with 3 mm Cannula for endometrial biopsy (adapter required when using the Ipas MVA Plus® or the Double Valve Aspirator)

Uterine Evacuation (UE) Kit

  • UE Kit includes 1 Double Valve Aspirator and 4 Ipas Easy Grip® Cannula (sizes 6 mm - 9 mm)
  • All components are disposable and packed in a sterile plastic tray
  • No adapters required
  • ONLY available in the United States and United Kingdom at this time

*Double Valve Aspirators are individually wrapped and sterilized with ethylene oxide gas, remaining sterile as long as the wrapper is intact and until the labeled expiration date.

Clinical indications:

  • Treatment of incomplete abortion for uterine sizes up to 12 weeks since the woman's last menstrual period (LMP)
  • First trimester abortion
  • Endometrial biopsy

Warnings/Contraindications:
Warnings: In a small percentage of cases (< 2%), one or more of the following can occur during or after the procedure: uterine or cervical injury, pelvic infection, vagal reaction, incomplete evacuation or acute hematometra.
Contraindications: Endometrial biopsy should not be performed in cases of suspected pregnancy. There are no known contraindications for treatment of incomplete abortion for uterine sizes up to 12 weeks since the woman’s last menstrual period (LMP) or first-trimester abortion (menstrual regulation).
